چکیده

Abstract Purpose The classic liquisolid technique is used to enhance the dissolution rate of poorly water-soluble drugs, but in some cases, it impossible reach desired using this alone. Therefore, a novel approach combination ball milling and technology was investigated improve for celecoxib. Methods First, celecoxib dispersed liquid vehicle (PEG 200), then ground mill 3 h. Other excipients, including PVP, microcrystalline cellulose as carrier powder, silica coating material, were added mortar. Dissolution testing carried out simulated intestinal fluid (SIF) gastric (SGF) media. effects aging on hardness profile also studied. X-ray diffraction (XRD) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) identify changes crystallinity or complex formation. Results formulations showed higher than conventional tablet formulations. Aging did not affect profiles compacts. DSC XRD results suggested that enhanced caused by formation any complexes reduction degree may contribute enhancement. attributed elevated specific surface area drug state. Conclusion combined with an efficient tool enhancing drugs.

Liquigroud technique: a new concept for enhancing dissolution rate of glibenclamide by combination of liquisolid and co-grinding technologies

Introduction: The potential of combining liquisolid and co-grinding technologies (liquiground technique) was investigated to improve the dissolution rate of a water-insoluble agent (glibenclamide) with formulation-dependent bioavailability. Methods: To this end, different formulations of liquisolid tablets with a wide variety of non-volatile solvents contained varied ratios of drug: solvent and...

Enhancement of Loperamide Dissolution Rate by Liquisolid Compact Technique.

Purpose: The aim of present study was to improve the dissolution rate of poorly soluble drug Loperamide (LPM) by liquisolid compact technique. Methods: Liquisolid compacts of LPM were prepared using Propylene glycol (PG) as a solvent, Avicel pH 102 as carrier, Aerosil as coating material and Sodium Starch Glycolate (SSG) as superdisintegrant. Interactions between the drug and excipients were ex...
